2025 Sonker Festival

The Sonker Festival is held each year on the first Saturday of October at the Edwards Franklin House from 1 - 5 PM - rain (not hurricanes) or shine. It features the deep-dish pies, known as sonker, displays of local crafts and historical collections as well as traditional music performed by musicians from the area. The festival is held at the Edwards Franklin House.
Sonker flavors this year are sweet potato, cherry, peach, strawberry and blueberry. The cost for each serving is $5.00.
There will be music and craft demonstrations, pottery and history displays. Attendees may tour the house as well. The historical society will also have a number of publications for sale.
Bring a lawn chair and spend the afternoon!
